Recent TomTom Discussions:
Did I overreact or am I right to be annoyed?
I'm an 18 year old girl, and an R driver. Yesterday I drove my 3 closest friends (1 guy, 2 girls) into a city to see a musical, which I spent £40.00 on each ticket myself.
I specifically told them, repeatedly, not to bring alcohol in my car, but they could drink when we got there. Im not against drinking but I made it very clear that I didn't want alcohol in my car.
When we went to get ready (we got out of school early) they saw me coming and ran out of school without telling me where they were going. They then diliberatly ignored my phone calls and texts (it was important to leave at a certain time). When they finally showed up, they had bags of alcohol from the Off License. As soon as we got onto the road they started drinking, after I told them not to. They also passed the bottles around between themselves, which got in my way (1 of them sat in the passenger seat).
When I stopped to get petrol, they repeatedly beeped the horn until I had paid and gotten the petrol.
When we got to the city (which I wasn't used to driving in), I missed the turn off because they ignored me when I asked them to stop shouting, turning the CD music up and jumping about, because it was distracting. I repeatedly asked them to calm down and keep the noise down but they ignored me. I ended up driving around the city centre trying to get to the place while they complained about traffic. I eventually told them off and they started taking the pi*s and laughing at me, which I found very offensive.
On the way home, they did the same thing. They also complained when I pulled over to try to fix my broken TomTom.
I felt very hurt and felt that they had no respect for me whatsoever, and that I'm obviously the one that 'tags along' in the group. One of them told me to 'stop being so pi*sy' earlier at school. Is he right?
Am I over reacting by feeling very hurt and offended by this behaviour? Especially as I paid for their tickets (which were the best seats in the theatre), the petrol and the EXPENSIVE car park, and the fact that I willingly drove them. Is it silly for me to feel slightly betrayed by them? (As I had some REALLY bad friends who 'stabbed me in the back' before and thought they were better than that). I know I take things too seriously at times but is it stupid that I don't trust them as much anymore?
Should I upgrade my iPhone 4S to Galaxy S3?
This is a poll.
I really really want the Galaxy S3, I don't know how to put this... but... it's just perfect... a water animated lock screen, a home button, very thin, finally a high resolution big screen with SAMOLED, a quad-core processor that consumes less power. And finally... the design, it finally doesn't look cheap anymore, very sleek. I don't know why majority of people complain that it's uglier than the SII, I always think the SII is the ugliest smartphone ever that packed with tech. It looks like a square with round edge.... like a toy...
However, I must give up 2 things: I spend over $200 on App Store for iPhone only, and There's TONS of apps on my iPhone that Google Play doesn't have, not just one, but hundreds of them, including TomTom offline GPS, many photo editing software, etc...
And... I have a Macbook and iPad, so now... with Galaxy S3, it won't automatically sync with my Mac and iPad anymore, like Calendar, Reminders, Note, Pages, etc...
And I don't know how would I sync an Android phone with my Mac? Is it possible? Can I backup the phone to my Mac? Can it be use with iTunes? because I will only use iTunes for music, I don't want any other software install on my Mac, except maybe if it from Samsung... How is music work on Android?
I really like ICS interface... and I saw lots of kids using iPhone... I'm a college student... not to be rude... but it's true...
And I heard Android are more likely to get hacked.
The S3 won't come out until 5/29/12, but I think I can wait...
so should I? or would you? or would you rather get the HTC One X?
Should I be annoyed by how they acted or am I overreacting?

Is anyone else having issues with their TomTom GPS right now?
I have the TomTom VIA 1435TM which I bought several months ago. It's always worked fine for me... but I went on vacation in Houston, and it got me from the airport to the hotel... and after that, it couldn't find a signal anymore. I drove around for 20 min trying to find a signal! Luckily, there was a Best Buy right by my hotel, so I went in, and the person working in the GPS section told me that there was something wrong with TomTom and all the units were having that problem right now, so he suggested that I buy a Garmin for now. So, I had to fork out another $200 for a new GPS!
That was 2 days ago. I'm home in Denver now, and I tried using my TomTom GPS again, but it still doesn't work! I tried using it for the whole 30 min that I drove to work, and it still couldn't find a signal!
Why doesnt my tomtom 540 live battery last?
i fully charge, i leave it in my room, couple of days later i turn it on, it does not turn on, then i put it in charge then it works.

Tomtom GPS lost signal?
I'm trying to work out how to use this GPS
My family borrowed it from a friend so we could use it to fins our way to a wedding and when we got home it said that there was no GPS signal
It thinks that our current location is still at our friends place but we're back at home
Anyway to fix this? I'm not sure what version this GPS is but yeah, Thanks :)
I am getting 24.2 mpg in my renault scenic dci 1.5 according to fuel computer?
Is this accurate?
the full model type is Renault Scenic dynamique tomtom dci with Bose pack.
The manufacturers state this data: Urban MPG = 47.9, Combined MPG = 56.5
According to a few sites i visited previous and present owners claim the scenic has an accurate trip computer.
I am gutted at the fuel performance so far, I recently read that new cars take 5000 miles to reach peak fuel economy is this true?
I have had the car 9 months and the trip computer average mpg from the day i got it shows 24.2 and rarely changes unles i go on a long motorway journey, then it might adjust by at most 0.2mpg.
A couple of times fuel got low and the 'range' disappeared because of this, but would that situation affect the mpg reading?
Thanks for your help in advance
Thanks everyone, great answers and very appreciated.
First I stated wrong mpg it is in fact 27.2, not much better but that is the current reading
The last post said had i reset the meter which i havent for a long time, I believed this would provide a longer more accurate average...I thought the figure would be the same generally but with higher numbers, i.e' fuel used' is from memory approx 164 gallons, will check milage for that later.
The car is town bound with several 100 mile trips per year, it is driven with utmost care and adherance to the gear changing indications and in light of massive fuel costs these days I simply cant afford to fill it up then refill etc.
Occassionllly the fuel warning has sounded and at this point the computer does not display the range but still shows mpg used, maybe it doesnt calculate fuel used but still has to add miles thus affecting the mpg.
Best answer will be for the simplest and ch you alleapest solution.
Thank you all again.
ps i really w
